Forging

Large forgings done right, down to the millimeter.

Our forging unit produces ring and disc shaped forged blanks for your machine shop. The forged blanks are typically utilized as components in demanding assemblies, such as gearwheels in a transmission. We work in close co-operation with the Finnish transmission industry.

Uncompromising quality.

With expert alloying and open die forging, our customers get the desired strength and properties that they want in their steel. The main advantage of open die forging is that it produces extremely homogenous steel, which is verified after the forging in case of any defects in the crystalline structure of the steel. The test results and material certificates are delivered with the product.

Increased efficiency.

By procuring your forged blanks from Komas, you get the entire service body from one shop. We will buy the materials and take care of the logistics. The net working capital of your production decreases and the use of your company’s resources become more efficient.
